A priest, fine. But a BISHOP?

This stuff drives me crazy: Conservative clergy from the Church of England are taking a stand against female bishops.

It's fun to see people tie themselves into knots trying to explain why female BISHOPS are an even bigger problem that female priests. It would be intellectually consistent, if completely and utterly wrong, to oppose BOTH. But it's pretty silly to live (no doubt grudgingly) with the fact that your church ordains women, only to make a whole new stink when it starts to take the logical next step of consecrating them, too.
