It's happening

Religious right leaders are getting behind McCain. And they're plotting strategy for convincing younger, more moderate evangelicals that they and their candidate do indeed "care about"--a phrase I love for its electoral meaninglessness, whether it's wielded by Eagle Forum, Faith in Public Life, or the New York Times--economic justice and the environment.
