While Obama met w/ a wide variety of moderate-evangelical types, McCain continued in his uphill, obviously half-hearted journey of courting the religious right. Meanwhile, a new Christians-and-politics survey from Calvin College's Henry Institute may surprise people who are convinced that Shane Claiborne or Ted Strickland or Jim Wallis or whoever is the new proto-evangelical. But it doesn't surprise Mark. Or CT.
