And here I thought only other white, gay-loving, resurrection-denying liberals supported TEC...

This is interesting: in its latest episode of conflict w/ CANA--the young Anglican body aligned w/ the church in Nigeria--the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia has the support of the national bodies of not only the United Methodist Church but also the Worldwide Church of God and both of the main historically black Methodist churches.

    I don't know. Perhaps in part for the same reason that Focus on the Family defended All Saints Pasadena's right to speak out against the war w/o losing their tax-exempt status--because any threat to one church body is a potential threat to others (precedent and all that), regardless of whether they're in agreement on whatever issues.
