Feingold on Edwards

My housemate Dan and I are both Obama supporters and political junkies. We've been talking about, among other things, the string of endorsements that Obama's been getting, and Dan wondered out loud last night whether Russ Feingold's would be forthcoming. I responded that, sadly, I wasn't sure it would be all that helpful.

Then, this morning, Dan sent me this article, an interview w/ Feingold by a small Wisconsin daily. Here's an excerpt:
The [presidential candidate] that is the most problematic is (John) Edwards, who voted for the Patriot Act, campaigns against it. Voted for No Child Left Behind, campaigns against it. Voted for the China trade deal, campaigns against it. Voted for the Iraq war … He uses my voting record exactly as his platform, even though he had the opposite voting record.
So...looks like he won't be backing Edwards. He goes on to say he's having a hard time deciding whether to support Obama or Clinton. Perhaps he has his reasons for staying out of the fray on that one, but I have a hard time believing that the only "nay" in the Senate on the original Patriot Act vote would support Clinton over Obama.
