Two observations about the evangelical landscape

First: This little number from Focus on the Family is outrageous and reeks of desperation. (Remember, Dobson himself hasn't endorsed a candidate...)

Second: Every single comment on the CT politics blog's post about this is critical of Focus. (The post itself, as is typical of Sarah Pulliam's fine work, stays neutral.)

Both obvious points, I know. But the point is this: as critical as I am of the evangelicals-go-Democratic media narrative, I'm pleased that people are finally understanding the ideological DIVERSITY of evangelicals, electoral realities aside. And was the distance between mainstream neo-evangelicals and right-wing culture warriors ever in sharper relief than in this CT thread?
