Praise bands and short-term memory loss

Touchstone has an interesting piece about church music and the worship wars. Some familiar territory, but makes a useful comparison: worshiping exclusively in a make-it-new/relevant/edgy/whatever context is like waking up each day with no recollection of your own history. What space remains for the great cloud of witnesses?
