Benedict: The St. Pius kids are alright

The pope is making nice with his right flank. No huge surprise there, but it's worth reading to the end of the article if only to get to this great quote, in which George Weigel out-Weigels himself:
It is not easy to see how the unity of the Church will be enhanced unless the Lefebvrists accept Vatican II’s teaching on the nature of the Church, on religious freedom, and on the evil of anti-Semitism, explicitly and without qualification; otherwise, you get cafeteria Catholicism on the far right, as we already have on the left.
Weigel's sensible! He's moderate! He's...taking a potshot at liberals in an article about extreme conservatives. Because everyone knows that more mainstream conservative Catholics are never guilty of a cafeteria approach.
