The bishop of the diocese of San Joaquin has resigned from the Episcopal House of Bishops--for the second time--to avoid "forc[ing] the House of Bishops to a vote." How thoughtful of him!
He also spelled the presiding bishop's name wrong. Though I suppose some might find it gracious on his part that he didn't refer to her as "that gay-loving woman 'bishop'" or some such.
Ugh.
